Adam visits DC and a little Halloween Craziness

Biked around DC

Found a tall pillar

Searched for Chris

and actually found him...he was never seen again

Caught up with Jordan and his friend for slack lining

Adam giving it a go

I didn't stay up too long :)

The van Grosbrownelford Family crashes a friend of a friend's Halloween Party

Bringing with them some lost tourists (Melissa and Phil)

Forgot to mention that we traveled in style in my new beater.

He's pretty cute!

Headed to another Halloween Party...I haven't seen this jacket since that night. If you have it I'd like it back

Two overweight 80s women loving on Richard Simmons...by the end of the night he'd help them lose those extra pounds!

Maggie and Lauren Visit DC....still waiting for Will

Stopped for the ritualistic cup of coffee before heading to the zoo

The zoo has living lawn art

Lazy pandas

Bored seals

And Dippin' Dots via vending machine

Lauren trying dippin dots for the first time

Somewhere Around this Time

Sometime around the time of the destruction of the sport, I headed to PA to visit the family. Did a little hiking.

Beth (my cousin) and Brian (her husband) went climbing with me in this old barn

Brian making his way to the top

Figuring out the roof

Happy to be past the roof

My cousin Sarah and I went tubing where we went as kids. Only this time it didn't seem quite the same. A lot less water then I remembered.

Ended up walking because we got lost

Happy that we were found

On the way back home stopped at Hanging Rock to climb with my friend Chris

Found a good place to rest

Guess there was a lot of resting going on

I almost forgot, I also got to stop in VA to visit my friend Sarah. We met a few years back in Chicago. She was headed to China and I was on my way to Australia. This is the second time we'd seen each other since leaving and arriving back in the states.

My Move to DC

I finally graduated from nursing school with the help of the other 4 non-P's

The Family helped me a lot too, I GUESS :) Rachel had to put up with me the most living with me at 606 N Greensboro ST...Thanks Hon

I found someone else who was about to make a major change...Jenny was quitting her job and starting grad school and I was moving to DC so it was a perfect time for a little party!

Swimmer Dan starting up the dance music

Grey out on the dance floor

Rachel and Emily showing off their dance moves

The car was packed and I was ready to head to DC. It was the night before my departure and I was headed to a Raleigh for a farewell get together when this deer came out of nowhere. Hit here first

Then landed on the roof

and came to its rest in my back seat...yes, he was still alive. I had this flashback to Tommy Boy.

What's it about...

Blackshutters is the new photo journal of my life and the lives of the people who have either reluctantly or fortunately become a part of it. I'm stealing this idea from Adam, only his blog has a better name: "Robot Toast." Clearly, he is a little cooler than me. The first couple entries are retroactive, but soon enough the stories will become true today's experiences.
